POSITION SUMMARY:

•Proactively coordinate procurement resource to ensure material supply at reasonable cost;

•Working with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure global customer needs are satisfied and products/services are supplied timely and at reasonable cost for direct materials, whilst partner with different functions to drive the optimum balance between quality, EHS and reliability;

•Delivering annual budgeting and resource planning are key to this position to support the success of the site;

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform in the geographic zone market analysis / intelligence and identification of market trends that could affect the pricing and supply

• Assess supplier risk (quality, bankruptcy, shortage,…)

• Communicate and deploy the strategy, lead execution of the major action plans (negotiation, standardization, spend control, innovation with suppliers, supplier development...) in his/her perimeter

• Identify and propose to the list of Strategic suppliers for the geographic zones as per needs segmentation.

• Drive dynamically the optimization of the supplier base. Propose to the evolution of the Supplier Orientation Chart based on the Evolution of the Category Strategy.

• Contribute to the development and deployment of the global cost models, scoring models etc..Lead / support regular business reviews with the Supplier to monitor operational performance

• Organize regular management meetings with Supplier to monitor strategic plan deployment

• Follow up the supplier development and improvement actions plans (service level and quality improvement).

• Lead qualification process for any new supplier linked to category

•Responsible & accountable for support Site in market intelligence and sourcing strategy. Involved in long term contractor selection, major supplier evaluation and develop strategic partners for key direct materials;

•Full accountability for CIP deliverables and financial responsibility

•Ensure materials are purchased with no interruption to production

•Set cost saving action plan and target, with full accountability for the execution of the plan

•Develop and monitor contract management process ensuring executing contracts as defined by Principal company guidelines

•Actively set up and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for identified suppliers in line with Supplier Relationship Management program

•Ensure support in the resolution of supplier related quality or service issues including mitigation plans/support for High-Risk suppliers

•Coordinate with Finance, Quality and Operations to ensure compliance with relevant Zoetis guidelines, policies, and Audits

•Coordinate with other functions and impacted stakeholders to assure timely implementation and compliance with the agreed sourcing strategies

•Continually evaluate and monitor market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly

•Support New Product launch teams / transfer teams with third party sourcing and contract negotiations as applicable


•Play an active role in the Annual Budget compilation and quarterly financial updates whilst supporting P&L execution.


ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

•Directly reports to the APAC Procurement Lead and Category Strategy Leader • GMS Procurement, Zoetis, with dotted line to the Site Lead

•Strong working relationship with the Site Leadership Team, Quality, EHS, GMT and all functions that affect the supply base

•Working relationship with Zoetis's supply base and external enabling functions as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:

•Degree qualifications in purchasing related Discipline or equivalent i.e. Diploma, CIPSA or APICS

•Experience in site procurement management

•Familiarity with SAP and pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred

Experience:

•Knowledge in Finance including Costing and Plant budgets

•Knowledge of supply chain processes and systems for sourcing

•Experience in Bio pharma material would be
