Role Description
The Technical Manager Swine provides technical support to the corporate staff, customers and distributors with
the aim to support the sales in the designated geographic area. This includes veterinary advice, poultry technical
and product training, education and service in case of technical problems or product complaints..
Location: North Vietnam
Position Responsibilities
- Provides technical support to the corporate staff, and is responsible for adequate technical expertise of the sales team (KAM, distributor’s staffs) which includes technical product information, disease diagnosis, vaccination and medication schedules & procedures, and general health programs
- Provides necessary technical information on competitor products, and advises the team on product positioning.
- Responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, supervision and reporting of marketing field studies on (new) products, in cooperation with STM, PM, Sales team.
- Represents the company at specialized seminars, congresses, exhibitions and workshops in the designated area.
- Gives presentations at congresses, symposia and seminars about veterinary technical subjects.
- Maintains close contact with distributors and agents, providing technical support, solving technical field problems, and training their staff on technical subjects when appropriate.
- Reports the visits through visit reports to the relevant people within the company.
- Pro-actively produces and publishes technical papers and other materials to support the products, clients and sales team, agents and distributors.
- Answer questions and other enquiries from the company staff, customers and distributors about veterinary technical issues.
- Monitors field disease situation, the emergence of new diseases, and new disease control policies. Communicates new trends to the relevant people.
- Transfer all information and presentations of product, technical materials, trials report, contact to the authorized staff and perform other tasks & duties assigned by manager
- Responsible for the professional handling of day-to-day veterinary issues and product Complaint.
- SharePoint, digital library to keep him/herself updated.
- Establishes and maintains contacts with scientific institutes, authorities and other opinion leaders relevant to the field of expertise and relate important issues
- Maintains relationships and manages exposure with relevant regional media.
- Monitors and analyses poultry industry and (scientific) publications. Forwards relevant information to the relevant people.
