We are now looking for a Technical Key Account Manager, Livestock, with a veterinary background to support our customers and grow our business within Livestock pharmaceuticals. The position is preferably based in Denmark, and customer activity in Sweden, Norway, and Finland must be expected as well.

You will be an essential part of an exciting journey with colleagues in all four Nordic countries.
In this field-based position, you will be working closely with veterinarians and livestock producers, at their locations. You will be using your skills and background in the livestock industry to make sure our products are introduced, implemented, and used correctly.
You will engage with the leadership of designated key accounts to identify joint business opportunities and bring them to fruition. You will develop and execute strategic account plans aimed at selling designated product lines and meeting joint objectives.
You will also develop mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with our customers. And maintain these relationships with the appropriate quantity & quality of the activity. You will work collaboratively to utilize the resources from the business unit to bring a significant level of technical knowledge and expertise to the customer.
This role contributes to the overall success of Zoetis by delivering against sales growth & market share gain targets and by growing the profile and reputation of our business through professional and mutually successful partnerships with the customer.
Tasks & planning
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan based on detailed analysis of the customer’s needs.
- Align activities and account plans to marketing programs and management direction
- Observe industry trends and issues. Identify commercial opportunities when they arise and capitalize on them
- Use internal and industry data to anticipate factors affecting the commercial activity
- Ensure customer information and activity reports are continuously updated through CRM system
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services and competition
Building Relationships
- Develop mutually beneficial, long term partnerships with our customers based on high-quality interactions and exceptional provision of service
- Implement technical solutions for the customer, utilizing all available resources and tools
- Address the specific and individual needs of customers proactively and effectively
- Work effectively at all levels in the team to coordinate available resources in line with account sales
- Contribute to the success of your team by sharing best practice with colleagues and proactively introducing ideas
- Share detail of the management of key accounts with colleagues throughout the business unit
Sales
- Deliver agreed sales targets, growth and market share gains for specified product lines
- Analyse and interpret territory and customer potential, sales and growth opportunities
- Ensure clear and specific objectives exist for each occasion of customer activity
- Identify the decision-makers and key influencers in our customers' businesses, whether direct or indirect. Use your network of contacts effectively.
- Manage the account towards the goal of linking Zoetis, our products, and our services to the long-term business needs of the customer
- Coordinate with colleagues in order to achieve positive changes to the customers understanding and use of our portfolio of products, services, and pricing
You and your colleagues
To have success in this job, you have a master’s degree in veterinary medicine, a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a practioner in livestock practice with main focus on cattle (or swine). You could also have experience from a similar position in the animal health industry (account manager, product manager or technical manager). You have a high knowledge on livestock production, and can diagnose, test, and make a tailor-made on-farm solution for our products and services.
You will also have exceptional sales ability, strong communication skills, a strong focus on planning, and an ability to work independently. You will build successful and productive relationships.
You like to see things grow by your hand and have a drive and resilience combined with a persistent, never give up attitude, with confidence, likability, and an authoritative personality.
You will report to the Business unit manager Livestock for the Nordic countries and be a part of the Nordic Livestock team.
Your education and experience
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine (MRCVS) is required
- 3-5 years’ experience from livestock practice in one of the Nordic countries is required
- Experience from a similar position in the animal health industry is desired
- Sales qualification, e.g., is desirable
- Current passport and valid driving license
- IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools
