? The individual will report to the Regional Finance Lead, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Africa. ? The ANZ Finance Lead is responsible for all Commercial finance matters in Australia and New Zealand. ? This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining accurate books and records, ensuring an effective internal controls environment and furthering business strategies through being an active member of the commercial leadership teams. ? The ANZ Finance Lead is also the primary custodian for ensuring the maintenance and adherence to statutory requirements, including audit requirements, taxes and laws impacting financial reporting or integrity. ? The markets will be supported through a combination of Shared Services (ZFS) and the Financial Planning and Analysis (‘FP&A’) (CoE).

Responsibilities: |
Controllership and Compliance ? Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting and submission in accordance with US GAAP, and Zoetis policies and procedures. ? Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and submission in accordance with local/statutory accounting standards, and all applicable laws and regulations for Australia and New Zealand. ? Ensure an effective internal control environment including SOX. ? Coordinate the planning and lead the execution of local internal and external audit work within market teams. ? Coordinate activities between Zoetis Shared Services, Zoetis Centers of Excellence, and local finance colleagues to ensure end to end process delivery. ? Prepare and participate in finance and business reviews with Senior International Leadership as a representative of ANZ. ? Drive resource optimization through effective working capital management. ? Act as Company Director and Secretary for legal entities in ANZ.
Financial planning and analysis ? Ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the annual Operating Plan, forecasts, and other financial submissions through close collaboration with the Financial Planning and Analysis (‘FP&A’) COE. ? Prepare and participate in business and operating plan reviews as a representative of ANZ. ? Ad hoc analytics and insight preparation and presentation.
Taxation ? Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and submission in accordance with local tax laws for the ANZ markets. ? Where appropriate, work with subject matter experts to provide support for any local tax reviews or audits. ? Act as the Australian Tax Office Public Officer. ? Key contract with the Inland Revenue in New Zealand.
Business Partnering
? Serve as the financial advisor to local leadership on key commercial decisions and business strategies. ? Monitor, track, and report business performance with proactive identification of issues, opportunities, and challenges. ? Ensure that the business utilizes its resources in the most efficient manner. ? Support and manage major change initiatives as necessary, including business development activities, integration of new businesses, migration to new financial systems and processes and finance transformation activities as deemed necessary. ? Ensure continual “Finance for non-Finance colleagues” education to commercial leadership. ? Work cross-functionally and provide support to Supply chain, Zoetis Technology & Digital, Business development, HR, as necessary.
People Management ? Lead the finance organization based in Australia including the Financial Controller ANZ and ANZ Tax Manager. ? Develop and retain existing talent. ? Identify, recruit and train local finance professionals as necessary. ? Conduct performance reviews, participate in talent planning, and establish development plans for direct reports in accordance with Zoetis standards.
