Role Description
The Technical Coordinator in the Companion Animal health industry is responsible for providing technical support and expertise to veterinary professionals and clients. This role involves to contribute to development and implementation of medical protocols, overseeing clinical operations, and ensuring the highest standards of animal care. The Technical will collaborate with various departments to enhance product development, support marketing efforts, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Support to the technical team in conducting technical promotions of the products of their Business Unit, lectures, technical meetings, etc.;
- Participate in technical needs with the marketing area in the product life cycle, through the identification of the market conditions of the product;
- Confirm the correct technical positioning of the products with the field team and product managers, ensuring their correct application;
- Match up the correct execution of clinical studies and interpretation of results, with the aim of identifying the pathology and solving the problem;
- Relate with the scientific community, class associations, universities, opinion leaders, government agencies, in order to identify opportunities in the clinical studies of Zoetis products;
- Participate in the construction and implementation of the technical strategy of the product lines according to the objectives and strategic planning for their business unit;
- Obtain technical, service, and product opportunities with customers, in order to seek improvements according to needs;
- Interact with the commercial, marketing, and regulatory areas to meet the needs of new indications, and new registrations;
- Develop technical materials and review marketing materials, aiming at updating, differentiation, and sales support;
- Contribute to develop, update, and manage customer service protocols in the SAC and in the field, seeking excellence and differentiation from competitors;
- Assistance the regulatory affairs team regarding product registration and/or license revalidation with the Ministry of Agriculture;
- Contribute to the Technical Manager, through efforts to improve processes, quality improvement, and cost reduction;
- Constantly seek technical updates available in publications, magazines, forums, symposiums, etc.;
- Contribite with the entire team in meeting goals, according to the company’s values;
- Identify opportunities and promote the acquisition of resources, such as materials and equipment, through studies that justify such needs;
- Support the Directorate, as well as meet the goals generating good results for the company;
- Ensure the good condition of the equipment under your responsibility;
- Promote order, cleanliness, and ensure work safety in the areas under your responsibility;
- Ensure the confidentiality of the information under your responsibility;
- Comply with and enforce the rules and regulations contained in the company’s Code of Conduct;
- Manage related activities of the team under your responsibility.
Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience)
Education:
Veterinary Medicine. Additional certifications in veterinary medicine or animal health.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in veterinary medicine, with a focus on clinical operations and technical support.
Skills:
1. Proficiency in veterinary medical protocols and procedures.
2. Experience with veterinary / medical studies, protocols and global information
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills and connecting.
6. Experience in oral and written scientific communication.
