POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this role is to establish and nurture mutually beneficial, profitable, and long-term relationships with customers. The position is accountable for achieving budgeted sales targets and maximizing revenue in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives for designated key accounts. This will be accomplished through direct, face-to-face selling, effective relationship-building with key decision-makers, and the strategic management, coordination, and implementation of value-adding business solutions. Success in this role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution and sustained customer satisfaction.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers through effective communication and trust-building.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and proactively address their needs.
- Utilize Zoetis tools, products, and services to co-create value for both the customer and the company.
2. Account Planning and Management
- Analyze customer profiles and market trends to identify opportunities for Zoetis solutions.
- Develop and implement tactical plans to achieve profitable sales growth aligned with business priorities.
- Continuously map key customers and assess their evolving needs to capture market opportunities.
3. Solution Selling
- Apply the Zoetis Solution Selling methodology, using in-depth questioning and active listening to align customer needs with Zoetis offerings.
- Maintain a results-driven approach, overcoming challenges to meet and exceed sales objectives.
4. Business Acumen
- Identify and act on business opportunities and industry trends to support strategic planning and growth.
- Analyze market data to anticipate changes and inform business strategies.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and optimize resource utilization to maximize return on investment.
5. Negotiation and Influence
- Conduct effective negotiations that result in mutually beneficial agreements.
- Align Zoetis resources with customers’ long-term business needs.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels within Zoetis and customer organizations to support strategic initiatives.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams across business units to ensure seamless management of key accounts.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of internal structures and processes to support strategic planning and execution.
