ROLE OVERVIEW
Product Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of a designated business unit and product portfolio. This role drives product growth through market analysis, lifecycle management, and the execution of targeted marketing strategies. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Technical, Regulatory, Sales, and external stakeholders to ensure successful product performance and compliance with industry standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Market & Product Analysis:
- Assess market needs and identify opportunities for new animal health products through research and feasibility studies.
- Conduct competitive analysis, margin reviews, and cost optimization for existing products.
New Product Launches:
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of new product launches, including launch readiness, internal training, and external communications.
- Coordinate with Technical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Sales to ensure timely and compliant product introductions.
- Develop launch toolkits, including promotional materials, technical documents, and sales aids tailored to veterinarians and livestock producers.
- Monitor post-launch performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Formulate and communicate product strategies to the BUH.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including the creation of promotional tools such as brochures, posters, and digital content.
- Negotiate advertising placements and manage push product campaigns to increase market penetration.
Sales Enablement & Collaboration:
- Provide clear direction and support to the sales team to ensure alignment with product and service strategies.
- Assist BU Lead in developing tactical business plans to expand sales and profitability in target animal health markets.
Budget & Program Management:
- Deploy product-specific programs within allocated budgets and ensure timely delivery of high-quality marketing materials.
- Monitor and report on campaign effectiveness and ROI.
Stakeholder & Industry Engagement:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with veterinary clinics, livestock producers, and strategic partners to maximize A&P (Advertising & Promotion) budgets.
- Represent the company in relevant animal health associations and industry events to ensure strong brand visibility and influence.
