Currently for Zoetis Czech Republic we are looking for candidates for the position of:

Country Lead – Czech Rep & Slovakia

Location: Prague, Czech Republic

Position purpose:

The Country Lead („CL”) is a key leadership role for ensuring the profitable operation and development of the Zoetis business in Czech Republic; CL is responsible for managing local commercial business in line with regulatory and compliance rules and is responsible for successful managing local commercial team to unsure motivation and colleagues’ development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the in-country organization to deliver business results. In conjunction with in-country extended, matrix leadership team, collectively promote opportunities to build talent and sustain a high-performing organization.
• Continuously assess organizational capabilities to adapt to changing market and workforce needs
• Build and grow talent and succession pipelines
• Lead in country workforce by operating within global processes, policies and local labor laws
• Promote a high-performing culture and an environment of engaged colleagues that enhance the Zoetis brand and delivers business results
• Understand and communicate the Zoetis Core Beliefs (Values) at all levels of the organization, including the extended country leadership team.
• Cultivate an environment that drives colleague engagement and brings out the best in everyone
• Develop and execute country commercial strategies in alignment with Zoetis global strategies
• Drive the achievement of annual revenue targets and set operating expenses within allocated annual budget
• Support the global and regional product/brand plans trough robust implementation of operating plans well positioned against business opportunities
• Achieve financial targets by managing investments/ cost-levels relative to revenue; ensure appropriate financial projections are developed for potential business development deals, oversee commercial due diligence
• Execute in-country customer strategies to optimize growth of brands in the local market
• Lead the organization in managing the market financial resources to deliver business results. Partner with In-Country /Regional Finance Director to ensure that all rules and regulations related to financial reporting are in compliance
• Manage and sing-off on in-country financial statements including the P&L, balance sheets, cash flow and tax returns in compliance with local laws and global guidelines
• Effectively manages inventory and demand/ supply forecasting
• Ensure SOX compliance by establishing and adhering to internal controls
• Conducts business in full compliance with local laws and Zoetis Corporate Policies and Procedures
• Ensures regulatory processes are followed within the corporate guidelines, process and local laws
• Partners with Finance, HR, Regulatory Affairs and Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) to build and maintain trust with regulators
• Partner with Global Functions & Businesses to ensure that country needs are understood and reflected in the development of global processes, policies and systems.
• Partner with internal audit, legal and other colleagues to identify areas to minimize risk and continuously improve business operations
• Drive alignment across in-country functions & businesses and create a culture of shared accountability for in-country resources, operating model and business strategies
• Provide feedback to global processes and policies to promote continuous improvement
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• University degree (Degree in Finance, Management or Business Administration)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the role of General Manager or Country Lead or leading a large business unit within a big country is required
• Commercially focused, results driven with a strong track record of growing a business with success
• Ability to work collaboratively in matrix environment
• Ability to lead and motivate the team through change management
• High leadership skills, including ability to coach, provide feedback and help to grow professional development for colleagues to enhance sales and marketing performance
• Full working proficiency in English and Czech is mandatory in this role
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. A Masters degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. MBA equivalent business studies a definite plus
• Ability to travel within Czech Rep and outside for business purposes
• Driving license B
