Description
The Commercial Head / Country Manager – Peru, based in Lima, will lead all business units in Zoetis Peru and have direct responsibility for managing the Companion Animal business. This role is accountable for delivering business and financial results, shaping market strategy, and ensuring the right capabilities and development plans are in place for sustained growth.
As the senior leader in Zoetis Peru, the Country Manager must combine strategic foresight with hands-on execution, managing a lean team while building strong customer and channel partnerships.
We are seeking a leader who is:
- Commercially strong and knowledgeable in working with distribution channels and point-of-sales, ensuring market execution and customer impact.
- Operational and decisive, with the agility to act quickly and effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Action-oriented and strategic, able to balance short-term priorities with long-term vision.
- Team-focused, building talent, strengthening capabilities, and directly leading the Companion Animal business.
As part of the LATAM Cluster leadership team, this leader will contribute expertise and market insights to regional decision-making, while modeling Zoetis’ values and leadership behaviors.
Business Commercial I Financial Success
- Lead the market strategy and operating plan, aligned with Zoetis’ priorities and growth objectives.
- Deliver financial performance by achieving sales, expense, and IBT targets with strong financial stewardship and integrity.
- Oversee effective market execution, ensuring excellence in execution across distribution channels, point-of-sale, sales, marketing, customer service, and technical operations.
- Apply digital tools and data insights to drive commercial growth and optimize performance.
- Develop accurate forecasts and insights to guide decision-making.
Business Planning & Strategy
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics to shape opportunities.
- Translate strategy into execution, enabling teams to deliver through clear focus and aligned resources.
- Identify and drive growth opportunities by introducing new products, services, or business models to the market.
- Maintain a constant view of market conditions, anticipating change and making calculated decisions to sustain commercial success.
- Building agility and capability to adapt.
People Development
- Provide clear direction on strategy, objectives, and expectations, enabling focus and alignment.
- Drive performance management, talent planning, and people development, ensuring top talent is recruited, developed, and retained.
- Build a coaching culture that grows leaders and strengthens capabilities across the organization.
- Embed Zoetis’ values and leader behaviors, creating a culture of recognition, collaboration, and high performance.
Customer proposition
- Ensure the customer value proposition evolves with market trends and customer needs.
- Instill a strong customer-first mindset across all teams and functions.
- Uphold the highest standards of business conduct and compliance (including Pharmacovigilance, Global Vet Policy and other codes of practice and corporate policies).
Relationships & Influence
- Build and leverage strong external networks with government, regulators, industry, academia, and key opinion leaders to shape the environment, expand access, and reinforce Zoetis’ leadership.
- Foster internal collaboration across divisions and functions, driving alignment with regional and global priorities and embedding a One Zoetis mindset.
- Ensure open, two-way communication to share insights, feedback, and best practices that strengthen business performance.
Business/Product Development
- Execute new product opportunities aligned with Zoetis’ strategy.
- Proactively manage the full product pipeline to maximize long-term value.
- Anticipate gaps in sales or profit and recommend new brands, line extensions, or acquisitions as needed.
Relocation will not be offered for this position.
