This position is based at Parkville, Melbourne site. This is a 10 day per fortnight position, no RDO rostering. As Zoetis moves towards ownership of the site in 2027, as part of the transition, Zoetis will be commencing responsibility for Warehouse operations on site from January 2026. We have a temporary, 12 month position on site, for a Warehouse Operator available.

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent needs to have the ability to effectively communicate. They must maintain adherence to processes that are aligned with Zoetis’s policies and procedures. They are responsible for following housekeeping principles to ensure clean, orderly, efficient, well-presented, and safe warehouse environments at Zoetis Parkville. The warehouse operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations ensuring the on-time supply of materials to the Zoetis site.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet Environment Health and Safety requirements by adhering to safe operations through:

· Attendance at scheduled training sessions

· Awareness training

· Assistance with safety audits

· Maintain correct manual handling techniques when performing warehouse activities

· Timely hazard reporting

· Accident and incident reporting

· Housekeeping of work areas

Maintain Zoetis warehouse via the following:

· Conduct warehouse activities operations including material receival, staging, storage, issuance, expiry, disposal, and inventory accuracy in line with Zoetis procedures.

· Ensure all materials are correctly labeled at all times

· Printing of picking slips

· Ensure each order is accurately picked and delivered to the required location

· Identify any damaged or unsafe goods and escalate to management

· Support and participate in regular stock takes and inventory management processes such as cycle counting to ensure only current and within expiry materials are located within the Zoetis warehouse locations.

· Understand and remain compliant with relevant regulatory requirements and other guidelines as they relate to warehousing.

· Support dispatch activities

· Support ongoing improvement initiatives.

Meet Quality and GMP requirements by:

· Adherence to GMP compliance and Site Quality Management Systems

· Manage ongoing regulatory compliance, assist in facilitation of regulatory audits and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

· Maintaining work areas to acceptable standards

Other duties as directed by Warehouse Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Strong safety mindset.

Demonstrated ability to develop and manage warehouse staff.

Demonstrated technical understanding of supply chain processes and systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, APVMA, TGA and DAFF

Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding SAP.

Demonstrated experience with problem solving.


TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate effectively.

Strong customer focus and ability to work collaboratively.

Certificate in Warehouse and Distribution (desirable but not essential)

Forklift license or the ability to obtain.

PHYSICAL POSITION/QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The site is a GMP facility with climate & environmentally controlled with clean and classified areas within.

This position will be required to work within the warehouse and follow gowning/safety requirements for that area. At times will require access within the Production areas. The incumbent will be required to wear various manufacturing suits/warehouse apparel dependent on the production/warehouse area.

The attires include:

· Lab coat, steel-capped safety boots, hairnet, beard snood (where applicable), and safety glasses (where signposted), high visibility coat/jackets

· Primary gowning (for controlled area work)

· No special clothing requirements for all office-based activities (street clothes only)

Forklift Duties

· Ensures that forklift is operated safely and in line with OHS legislations in undertaking associated tasks.

· Ensure forklift operator maintenance is carried out as per user manual.

· Ensures that daily checks are completed and maintained.

This job requires the employee to work overtime as needed.

Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job include manual handling such as: sitting, standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, carrying, reaching, handling as well as speaking and hearing. Specific vision abilities required for this job includes close and distance vision.

Employees must undertake a pre-employment medical prior to commencing work.
