Key Account Manager, Pig (12 months Parental Leave Contract)
Join a talented, high-performing team within Zoetis’ Livestock Business Unit and work with some of the most advanced animal health products in the Australian market. This role offers the chance to combine commercial acumen, technical capability, and relationship leadership to grow Zoetis’ business across the Australian pig industry.
Reporting to the National Intensive Manager, you will thrive on the challenge, including working with Key Accounts by applying advanced technology and practices in the Australian pig health industries to drive them forward. From your base in Eastern Australia you will train, promote and implement leading animal health technologies both on farm and to key opinion leaders.
You will be a motivated team player with solid technical and time management skills as well as a passion for achieving sales targets. You will also have superior communication and negotiation skills complemented by strong presentation abilities and a flexible approach.
The Opportunity
Work from your home office in Eastern Australia, you’ll enjoy regular travel across Australia to:
- Own and grow national key accounts within pig industry.
- Develop and execute account plans that deliver sustainable revenue growth, market share and customer outcomes
- Provide technical training and on-farm support, particularly in vaccination programs and health protocol implementation
- Build strong partnerships with rural and intensive livestock veterinarians, producers, integrators and key pig businesses
- Influence and engage key rural vets and pig industry companies to implement on farm health programs that benefits their clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technical services, supply, customer service, and operations to deliver a seamless customer experience
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a motivated, customer-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic, field-based environment and enjoys turning technical knowledge into commercial results.
You’ll ideally have:
- Demonstrated experience in key account management, territory sales, or business development (animal health, livestock production, feed/nutrition, or adjacent agri channels)
- Strong understanding of pig production systems, health management, and vaccination program principles (or the capability to learn quickly)
- Proven ability to influence decision-makers and deliver value-based solutions (not just product selling)
- Experience delivering on-farm training, technical presentations, and group education sessions
- Strong commercial capability including account planning, negotiation, forecasting, and CRM usage
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills, with a confident and professional style
- High-level organisation and time management with the ability to prioritise, plan travel efficiently, and execute autonomously
- A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science (beneficial but not essential)
- A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally
