General description:
This position is a strategic, field-based leadership role focused on driving sales growth, market share, and profitability for the Swine portfolio within Argentina. This position involves managing key customer relationships, developing business strategies, and leading direct and cross-functional teams to deliver value-added, tailored solutions to swine producers and veterinarians.
Role is responsible for achieving/surpassing sales budget while demonstrating and upholding Zoetis core beliefs and leadership expectations. This position is responsible for leading all selling activities, business sales analytics, and strategic business planning for the category.
This role is required to develop long-term partnerships with our customers: it is responsible for leading the development and execution of account plans aimed at selling designated product lines and meeting joint objectives.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead commercial team to meet their sales targets successfully and consistently with focus on demand generation and customer centricity.
- Strategic Planning & Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve sales targets and market share gains, utilizing data analytics to identify commercial opportunities.
- Implement sound customer target and segmentation planning efforts to ensure impactful commercial execution and exceptional service level.
- Key Account Management: Act as the primary contact for major direct Swine producers, building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Develop and maintain key account plans based on detailed analysis of customer’s needs.
- Ensure customer information and activity reports are continuously updated on CRM system.
- Prepare and consolidate sales forecasts with proactive participation in S&OP / demand reviews.
- Work closely with distribution channel to support strong execution of strategic plans.
- Execute sales coaching and colleague development efforts investing appropriate time dedication and focus (e.g. completing written coaching guides after each field call and providing specific constructive feedback to each colleague, coaching days, etc.) and building robust individual development plans.
- Portfolio Management: Manage the sales, marketing, and positioning of the swine portfolio to meet the needs of farmers and veterinarians with focus on Solution Selling.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coach sales teams to drive performance and disciplined execution, engagement, and operational excellence. Set SMART expectations to colleagues in terms of annual goals.
- Marketing support: contribute to marketing strategy and product tactics through using knowledge and expertise, identifying market trends, commercial opportunities, and priorities.
- Technical Support Collaboration: Coordinates internal resources to provide technical expertise and support new product launches.
- Compliance: Model and champion the Zoetis Values, ensuring adherence to standards of business conduct, PV policy, T&E policies, and applying local regulations.
- Customer Engagement: Develop key opinion leader (KOL) networks, conduct technical training, and organize industry events to promote our solutions.
- Resource management: Ensure resource allocation, investment (OPEX), and utilization effectiveness to create demand and grow business.
- Leadership: consistently lead and demonstrate change and learning agility. Drive a culture of integrity, transparency, empowerment, and accountability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Proven experience in sales leadership, marketing, or business development within the animal health, pharmaceutical, or agricultural sector, with specific Swine industry experience (preferred).
- Education: Veterinary Medicine or a related field (with business studies or MBA preferred).
- Business acumen: Strong sales planning and disciplined execution expertise.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with producers, veterinarians, and internal teams.
- Collaboration: Strong orientation to work collaboratively in complex organizational structures building positive influence and relationships with internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Languages: Fluent in English
- Location: C?rdoba / Santa Fe
Travel Requirements
- Mobility: Ability to travel extensively (often 60-70%+).
