POSITION SUMMARY
A 12 months’ programme that will follow a flexible and blended learning approach using the 70:20:10 development principles (on-the-job learning, peer coaching and mentoring and theorethical learning). The internship programme aims to provide gradutues with an interest in sales with a unique opportunity to acquire valuable skills and knowledge whilst also gaining practical and relevant work experience in a supportive environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- To visit and service the veterinary retail channel
- Ensure stock on shelf of our direct-to-consumer products
- Train retail staff on our products
- Monitor sales and growth for their client base versus their targets
- Collaborate with the sales representative in the area
- In-store promotions over weekends
EDUCATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Recently qualified with a completed Degree / Diploma in Animal Science or Marketing or relevant qualification
Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Confident driving and navigating on own
- Reliable and roadworthy vehicle
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Good organization, time keeping planning and prioritization skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Results driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in sales
- Computer Literate
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to drive and travel locally and internationally if required
- May be requested to work extended hours and weekends for special program events and/or training
