POSITION SUMMARY

As the APACA market and our portfolio rapidly evolve, this individual must be highly adaptable, ready to pivot strategies to meet shifting customers and business needs.
The Regional Diagnostic Medical Lead will drive medical learning excellence and support for the APACA region. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering evidence-based educational programs and training materials, including customer-facing colleague training, that elevate veterinary knowledge and accelerate the adoption of our diagnostic solutions. Serving as the voice of the APACA markets, this individual will ensure regional needs and insights are integrated into the global Medical Affairs strategy. This role is also responsible for level 3 medical support for diagnostic point of care products, and provides platform support to prepare products for market launch and utilization.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional Medical Education & Training (50%)
- Drive medical education initiatives that support Zoetis Diagnostic regional strategy for our customers and internal stakeholders in APACA.
- Collaborate with global diagnostic medical platform and education leads to create content for marketing, education, training materials, and presentations, specifically around products for use in APACA markets.
- Design and deliver scalable regional medical education program for internal and external audiences with trackable educational outcomes, using available channels, such as conferences, webinars, wet labs and digital platforms.
- Assist in curriculum development and enhancements for APACA field forces; deliver medical training and coaching to colleagues for new and existing products.
- Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing across global teams to maintain consistent educational standards.
Medical Platform Support (40%)
- Be the advocate of your regional customers’ needs to influence medical education strategy and messaging aligning with the Global diagnostic strategy imperatives
- Identify future trends and marketplace dynamics and work across functional teams to develop a data generation/study plan as determined by regional needs/requests, such as on market studies, new claims, or outcomes of research studies.
- Work with internal R&D and/or KOLs on development, submission, and execution of study proposals as well as keeping approved projects on track.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external Key Opinion Leader (KOL) groups, including regional animal health organizations and industry partners to support Zoetis Diagnostics strategy.
Level 3 Technical Support (10%)
- Serve as L3 Technical Support Veterinarian for customer care escalations from field or medical platform leads
- Use medical and customer care skills to help Diagnostic Technical Support team members answer advanced technical and medical questions, support and coach to deliver accurate information, assist with problem resolution to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Use problem-solving skills to diagnose analyzer result inquiries, questions and/or reference requests to assist the Technical Support team member in the understanding needed to determine if analyzer or clinical issue present. In conjunction with Technical Support team members, determine next steps or communication needed to solve or address customer problems in timely and efficient manner, focusing on customer experience.
- Maintain detailed records of interaction with Technical Support team members with respect to customer accounts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree required
- Board certification (clinical pathology or internal medicine) is highly valued
- Minimum 3 years of animal health industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience
- Prior project management and/or medical education experience highly desirable
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
- Organizational effectiveness and ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment, align with and influence internal and external stakeholders, and build/manage relationships at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated cross-functional communication and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) in English.
- Strong technical writing skills with proficiency in copy editing and proofreading content
- Comfortable working in highly fluid, complex, and ever-changing environments
- Computer skills: high proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, project management software
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Travel Requirements: 30-60% local, regional and international travel depending on position location to attend internal and external meetings.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate the schedules of global colleagues
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally, up to 50% of the time including some weekends.
