Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator (Local Manufacturing) is responsible for the efficient planning and organization of repackaging and relabeling activities supporting Zoetis’ operations and executing local manufacturing (external supply, CMO). The Logistics Coordinator (Local Manufacturing) is also responsible for purchasing all components (API, raw materials, packaging materials etc.) for local productions and repackaging-relabeling operations.
He/she escalates appropriate issues to Cluster Logistics leader.
He/she manages relationships with suppliers, local manufacturers and repackaging and relabeling units.
He/she monitors financial performance to ensure achieving targets and strategies.
Role and Responsibilities
- Coordinate repackaging and relabeling activities
- Coordinate local manufacturing execution and planning to support high-volume manufacturing
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including tactical operations support, with manufacturing, planning, and commercial team
- Coordinate purchasing process for all components (API, raw materials, packaging materials etc.)
- Coordinate the inventory stocks
- Coordinates all the Purchase Order and invoicing processes for vendors
- Coordinate with LSP general processes of inventory management
- Follow-up material source changes process.
- Participates in cross-functional teams focused on process improvements, cost reduction and supply chain issue resolution.
Education, skills and knowledge
- Bachelor in Engineering in related industries (e.g. chemistry), Business Administration, Logistics Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or Veterinary Medicine
- Fluent in both written and verbal in English
- Experience in pharma/animal health industry is an asset
- Experience in using ERP programs (preferably SAP) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access is a plus)
- 1-5 years of combined Supply and Logistics management experience is required working with local and international suppliers of goods and logistics/ transportation services preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
- People coordination experience, managing teams across different markets
- Ability to work in a complex international organization.
- Strong teamwork orientation is required
- Ability to work effectively in an environment of competing priorities
- Strong presentation, data analysis and PC skills are required
- Additional logistics market knowledge is valued
