Country Manager (CM) – Colombia leads all business units in the country organization. The CM manage managers for all areas of operation to achieve the strategic goals and targeted financial results. The CM must oversee the strategy development for the market and ensure that the business meets its business and financial objectives. He or she must plan for and manage the development of the resources necessary for sustained business results. As the senior leader in the country, the CM works proactively to influence the external environment in accordance with Zoetis’ core values and global strategies. The complexity and scope of this position requires the CM to balance priorities, adapt to ever-changing external and internal challenges, and act independently and decisively with agility using sound business judgment. The CM actively models Zoetis' values and leader behaviors. This position will be based in Bogotá, Colombia. As part of the South LatAm Cluster, the CM is a member of the Cluster leadership team and contributes their business experience and expertise to add value to the strategy, and decision-making process for the broader Region
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
-Commercial I Financial Success
• Develop the annual operating plan for the business aligned with the key business imperatives for the
organization
• Deliver agreed upon the operating plans, budgets and forecasts, ensuring sales, expenses and IBT meets or
exceeds targets.
• Ensure financial control of the market, maintaining financial integrity consistent with the Zoetis values.
• Generate and protect short- and long-term revenue streams.
• Utilize digital and data technology and tools to their fullest capabilities to drive sales growth and optimize
performance in the operations
• Ensures the effective operation and management of all functional areas of the business such as customer
service, commercial operations, sales and marketing and technical operations
• Produce accurate financial forecasting to the South LatAm Leadership team
-Business Planning & Strategy
• Develop a deep and practical understanding of customer needs within the market.
• Ensure the optimal allocation of resources needed to achieve the goals and objectives of the strategic plan.
• Ensure implementation of new and revised strategies, within agreed upon timeframes that reflect overall
organizational priorities and take into account impact on team structure, resource allocation and staff
development.
• Deliver new business opportunities, products or services to the market for Zoetis. Continually assess customer
growth opportunities and develop the business in line with country objectives
• Maintain a constant view of market conditions. Anticipate fluctuation. Make calculated judgements to harness
the commercial potential from changing market conditions
• Prioritize and focus the organization's direction and energy on those activities that will ensure sustained
commercial success.
-People Development
• Provide to your direct reports, a specific and clear direction for the strategy, objectives, policies, practices, and expectations
• Lead your team through periods of change that will drive process enhancements and deliver improved results. Through action, create an environment of innovation and entrepreneurialism
• Drive performance management, people development, talent planning and other processes to lead, motivate and develop individuals as well as cross-functional and functional teams to increase and capitalize on their potential for achieving results
• Seek and communicate feedback from the local leadership team concerning organizational climate and leadership style / behaviors
• Ensure that top talent is recruited, developed, and retained for the market and for Zoetis as a whole.
• Ensure that all colleagues in the countries are managed in accordance with Zoetis’ vision, mission, policies, values and leader behaviors.
• Have in place a thriving culture of reward and recognition that reinforce high performance in relation to objectives and effective practice of the leader behaviors and Zoetis values.
-Customer proposition
• Ensure the evolution of the customer value proposition in line with customer needs and the market direction
• Instill a strong customer focus in all team members, regardless of role or technical expertise
• Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy
and Global Vet Policy and other codes of practice and corporate policies
External Relationships
• Ensure the development of a broad network of productive relationships with key contacts, opinion leaders, local
government, regulatory authorities and agencies, payers, industry, trade, and academic groups. The CM
develops his/her own relationships with key stakeholders, as appropriate
• Actively support a continuous two-way flow of information/communication within Zoetis and with the external
environment

Internal Relationships
• Develop and leverage productive internal relationships within Zoetis and across other Zoetis divisions to drive
business results, exchange knowledge and best practices, collaborate and contribute to regional and global
organizational and business objectives
• Participate in and contribute to cross-divisional work that brings value to the business. Ensure all staff
understand and successfully align efforts across divisions and functions with a One Zoetis approach
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Education
• University degree required
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience
• Previous successful General Manager / Country Manager and/or broad business experience in a leading role, specifically marketing, sales, technical and organizational leadership
• Demonstrated successful marketing, sales, and/or operational experience
• Experience managing a P&L
• Previous enterprise-wide experience is a plus
• Proven operational leadership experience and ability to lead and manage change in an agile environment
• Must be able to speak / write English at an advanced level. Spanish speaking is required.

• Strong P&L management and business experience.
