POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager for the Act 101 Portfolio will be responsible for defining strategy, planning, forecasting, product development, and ultimately be accountable for revenue growth and profitability for the various brands within the portfolio. Managing a portfolio of brand(s) and developing and implementing effective marketing strategies in alignment to the overall corporate objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Portfolio management to maximize revenue and margin.
- Develop strategic marketing and business plans for the portfolio, including market and competitive analysis, brand positioning, pricing and development of a communications plan focused on veterinary customers and internal stakeholders.
- Planning and forecasting of brand within the portfolio.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and product development.
- Participate in short-term and long-term financial planning, development of sales and operating budgets, and operate within approved financial parameters to enhance profitability.
- Operating plan preparation for assigned products.
- Responsible to manage the Advertising and Promotional budget for assigned products.
- Develop above and below the line marketing campaigns to drive revenue and provide timely marketing materials and programs to the sales force and all channel partners in support of demand creation efforts within the veterinary channel.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and customer insights, including managing all competitive intelligence.
- Strong customer interaction skills, with the ability to turn customer insights into actionable marketing decisions.
- Own omnichannel campaign planning and execution across priority touchpoints (field force, digital, events and partner channels) to drive demand and brand growth.
- Track and optimise campaign performance using agreed KPIs (e.g., reach, engagement, lead/conversion proxies, ROI) and provide regular performance reporting and learnings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Degree in Marketing or equivalent / Degree in Animal Science or equivalent
- Digital marketing qualification advantageous
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a marketing role
- Experience in digital marketing
- Knowledge of the veterinary or pharmaceutical industry advantageous
- Experience in the veterinary channel advantageous

- Demonstrated success with product development and launching of new products
- Comprehensive knowledge of marketing process
- Financial proficiency and strong attention to detail
- Strong interest in marketing strategy, with the ability to translate goals into clear campaign plans.

- Able to deliver effective presentations

PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Field visits are a key requirement—must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively across South Africa.
- Ability to travel internationally if required
- May be requested to work extended hours and weekends for special program events and/or training
